Restaurant365 Raises $175 Million in Funding to Accelerate Growth in the Foodtech Industry

This year, the food industry in the United States is projected to exceed $1 trillion in sales, even amidst economic challenges for consumers. Startup company Restaurant365 has secured $175 million in funding to develop technology aimed at helping restaurants effectively manage their businesses and take advantage of this growth in the food industry.

"We are thrilled to see [the business] expanding and grateful for the backing of our investors," he expressed. To provide some background, in the previous year, when the startup secured $135 million in funding, it revealed that it had achieved a $1 billion valuation.

The startup is maintaining confidentiality regarding its current usage statistics. It was previously disclosed that their software was in use at 40,000 locations, and that number remains the same today. It was projected that the company would reach a revenue of $100 million by 2023, with pricing starting at $469 per location per month.

Restaurant365 is a company located in Irvine, California, that offers a comprehensive platform for restaurants to handle their accounting, inventory, and workforce needs. They also provide an analytics tool to analyze business trends, excluding point of sale transactions.

Smith mentioned that the funding will be used to further develop the range of products offered by the startup and grow its customer base after acquiring ExpandShare, a training platform for restaurants, in April. Additionally, they are setting aside some of the funds for potential future acquisitions.

While Restaurant365 is utilized by a variety of dining establishments, including both independent restaurants and large chains, there is a specific emphasis on developing tools for major hospitality brands.
